About Kelsey
While Sunday Morning Flowers officially started in 2017, my obsession with flowers started decades ago. Always one to notice what what growing in an empty field or the street's median, my whole life I've upset my parents by stealing blooms off their landscaping plants. Once, in college, I got questioned by an officer when I pulled off the side of the road to pick wildflowers. For the last several years, I've been honing my skills through free-lance floral work and working with my own locally grown flowers. I am delighted to provide everyday bouquets, event services, or holiday arrangements.
I currently grow in a 2000 sqft garden, where I can pump out hundreds of blooms a season. Follow along on my Instagram or Facebook account to learn what's growing and where to find us any given week! If you'd like to inquire about a special event or arrangement, email kelsey@sundayamflowers.com or call 859-835-3540
About the Name
I got the name, Sunday Morning, after my late grandfather's thoroughbred farm in Versailles, Kentucky, which he owned with his wife. Growing up, the farm was the most magical place. It was named after Charles Kuralt's morning news show, which prioritized fine art, human interest and in depth reporting, over sound bites, partisan justification and headlines. "Sunday Morning" also feels like breakfasts with my family (my husband is a breakfast guy!), good light, bacon and Van Morrison playing.
